I began my healthcare career in clinical audiology. As an audiologist, I worked with patients in a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitative settings. My experience and training in audiology paved the way for a career in IONM, with my initial IONM experience being in academic medicine. During the initial stages of my IONM career, I developed a solid clinical approach to neurophysiology. Since that time, my career has evolved into an operations leader with strategic vision and know-how to help organizations navigate the challenging healthcare environment.
Today, as the chief operating officer at Neuro Alert, I draw upon my experience developing IONM programs to create strategies that foster alignment with Neuro Alert’s patient-centric goals. I believe wholeheartedly in listening to, communicating with and mentoring the team so that, together, we all perform our mission: to speak for patients when they can’t speak for themselves.
